European Developmental Biology Congress 2023

25-28 September 2023

Get ready for the 2023 European Developmental Biology Congress! This quadrennial meeting brings together developmental biologists from across Europe to discuss the latest advances in our field.

The conference will have a strong focus on the rising stars of European Developmental biology, with the majority of talks presenting the exciting work of outstanding researchers who have started their labs relatively recently. The meeting will also feature talks from the winners of the 2023 BSDB Beddington Medal, Cheryll Tickle Medal, and Waddington Medal. There will also be plenty of spots for short talks to be chosen from abstracts, so please start getting your abstracts ready for submission!

Hosted by the British Society for Developmental Biology, the main hub of the meeting will take place in the beautiful location of Keble College Oxford (UK), with a conference party among the dinosaurs and dodos in the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.

To make the conference more accessible to the community, it will be held across three countries by incorporating interlinked ‘mini-hub’ meetings. There will be one mini-hub held in Paris (Institut Pasteur) and one in Barcelona (IRB), where it will be possible to follow the full conference streamed on site in the company of colleagues. To further foster exchange, on the Tuesday of our meeting the meeting will alternate live talks from Paris with live talks from Oxford, streamed between sites using our hybrid conference platform. On the Wednesday we will link in a similar fashion to Barcelona. Each mini-hub will also include their own local scientific and social events. The entire meeting will also be available to access online.
